At Little Cow Mountain, we call Idaho home and their potatoes delicious. For those who don’t normally celebrate Idaho’s state vegetable in a grand way, here is your chance! The Indian Creek Plaza is hosting the Hot Potato Festival and everyone’s invited! From live music, potato games, tasty dishes, and more, it would be a shame to miss out.
“Scenic Idaho, Famous Potatoes”
Driving through Idaho you may frequently see the phrase “Scenic Idaho, Famous Potatoes” on license plates and it’s no joke! Idaho has everyone else beat when it comes to potatoes! In fact, they have been producing more potatoes a year than any other state since 1957. What makes Idaho’s potato industry so successful is their resources. The Idaho Potato Commission reports that the state of Idaho “leads the industry in: potato research, growing techniques, food safety issues, storage, handling and distribution.” This must be the reason why there is such a love for potatoes in the area and the Indian Creek Plaza hosts a Hot Potato Festival, right?
Indian Creek Plaza’s Hot Potato Festival
Fun festivities quickly approach as summer reaches its end. On Saturday, August 14th, 2021, Indian Creek Plaza will be hosting the Hot Potato Festival from 5:00pm – 9:00pm. Enjoy your favorite potato dishes, live music, potato activities and vendors.
If you aren’t already excited, what if we told you there is a prize for winning the Mommy’s Little Piggy Mashed Potato Eating Contest and Super Spud Contest! Indian Creek Plaza says, “everything about the event is going to be po-tastic”. Don’t be the one to miss out!
